How it works

  1. Step 1 · 10 seconds

    Enter your address

We find your parcel in the county’s certified roll and pull the assessed value from your notice.

  2. Step 2 · 2–6 seconds

    Read the verdict

We compare your assessed $/sq ft with comparable homes nearby and run three tests. You see the number and the math, free.

  3. Step 3 · $49, under a minute

    File the packet

If it is worth filing, we build the county-specific packet: evidence, forms, instructions. You file it yourself, online or by mail.

Questions

Can protesting raise my assessment?

In Texas, no — the appraisal review board can only lower or keep the value you protest. In a few states (Illinois among them) a board may raise it; the county page for your county says which applies.

Do you take a percentage of my savings?

No. The packet is $49, or $79 with the hearing kit, once. Refunds only if we can’t generate it or used the wrong parcel; the outcome is the county’s decision, so there is no refund for a denial.

Where do the numbers come from?

From your county’s assessment records and recorded sales, read the day shown on the Data-as-of chip beside every figure. We publish the method on the Methodology page.

Do I have to give you my email to see the verdict?

No. The verdict and the savings estimate show without one. An email unlocks the comparable homes and the math on the page, and we send you a copy.

Is this legal advice?

No. Appealmetrics prepares informational self-help documents. We are not attorneys or licensed tax consultants and do not represent you before any appraisal board.
